மலர்கள் மணம் பரப்புவது

 மலர்கள் மணம் பரப்புவது தங்களுக்காக அல்ல
மரங்கள் கனி கொடுப்பது தங்களுக்காக அல்ல
ஆற்றுநீர் ஓடுவது 

தங்களுக்காக அல்ல
சூரியன் ஒளிர்வது 

தனக்காக அல்ல
எடுத்துக்கொள்வதைவிட கொடுப்பதில்தான் 

பெருமையும் 

புகழும்.
Flowers do not spread fragrance for themselves,
Trees do not bear fruit for themselves,
Rivers do not flow for themselves,
The sun does not shine for itself -
There is greater pride and glory in giving than in taking.
