யாருக்கும் சொந்தமில்லாத பூமி
யாருக்கும் சொந்தமில்லாத
இந்தப் பெரும் பூமியில்,
எல்லோரும் சண்டை போடுகிறார்கள் —
மண் மீதான உரிமைக்கு,
மனம் கவரும் செல்வத்திற்கு,
மறந்துவிட்டனர் —
மண் நம் காலுக்கு கீழே தான் என்பதை!
முழுமை ஏதுமில்லாத
மனித வாழ்வில்,
அரைகுறை ஆசைகள் பெருகி,
அழிவையே விதைக்கின்றனர்.
வாழ்க்கை ஒரு பயணமென மறந்து,
வாதங்கள் பல நடத்துகிறோம்.
ஒரு நாள் வந்து
இருள் சாயும் கணத்தில்,
சொந்தமெனக் கூறியதெல்லாம்
விடைபெறும் எனத் தெரியாமலா?
பூமி — யாருக்கும் சொந்தமல்ல,
ஆனால் நாம் அனைவருக்கும் பொறுப்பு!
அழகாக வாழ, அமைதியாய் வாழ் —
அது தான் உண்மையான சொந்தம்!
The Earth That Belongs to No One
In this vast earth that belongs to no one,
everyone is fighting —
for the right to the soil,
for the tempting wealth,
forgetting —
That the soil is beneath our feet!
In an incomplete
human life,
half-hearted desires multiply,
and sow destruction.
Forgetting that life is a journey,
We have many arguments.
Don't we know that one day,
When darkness falls,
all that we have claimed as our own
Will it be said goodbye?
The Earth — belongs to no one,
But we are all responsible!
To live beautifully, to live peacefully —
That is true ownership!
